چکیده
Polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) composed of polymer or blend is a vital element in PEM fuel cell that allows proton transport and serves as barrier between oxygen. Understanding the microscopic phase behavior blends very crucial to design alternative cost-effective proton-conducting materials. In this study, mesoscale morphologies Nafion/poly(1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole) (Nafion-PVTri) Nafion/poly(vinyl phosphonic acid) (Nafion-PVPA) membranes were studied by dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) simulation technique. Simulation results indicate both can form phase-separated microstructure due different hydrophobic hydrophilic character chains segments same chain. There strong, attractive interaction acid sulfonic groups strong repulsive fluorinated Nafion-PVPA membrane. By increasing PVPA content membrane, clusters’ size gradually increases forms continuous phase. On other hand, triazole units Nafion-PVTri not compared blend, which This relatively lower causes have non-continuous phases regardless composition.

The microphase separation of hydrated perfluorinated sulfonic acid membrane Nafion was investigated using Dissipative Particle Dynamics (DPD). The nafion as a polymer was modelled by connecting coarse grained beads which corresponds to the hydrophobic backbone of polytetrafluoroethylene and perfluorinated side chains terminated by hydrophilic end particles of sulfonic acid groups [1, 2]. Each f...

متن کاملD Dissipative Particle Dynamics , Overview
Natural systems can be described at different scales based on both spatial and temporal size. In general, there are three different scales, i.e., micro-, meso-, and macroscales. A microscopic event occurs at nanometers in length and nanoseconds in time or, even less, governed by quantum mechanics or classical laws. Macroscale describes physical objects or phenomena that are measurable and visib...
